Butcher, Baker, Preserves, and Caviar Maker

The King of Caviar comes to Fogo Island

This culinary weekend brings together community food artisans and guest caviar purveyor Cornel Ceapa, PhD. Based in Saint John, New Brunswick, this conservationist, scientist, fisherman, and businessman founded Acadian Sturgeon and Caviar in 2005. Cornel and his wife Dorina produce the last and only wild sturgeon caviar in the world. Over the course of a two-night stay, guests will feast on a five-course supper showcasing Acadian Sturgeon caviar and will also have opportunities to prepare moose sausage, bake bread, jar jam, and experience a showcasing of Fogo Island’s foodways through various other excursions and demonstrations. The weekend will culminate with a Sturgeon Academy session and caviar tasting.
