Scottish Highlander Craig Grozier demystifies the juniper berry
Chef Craig Grozier joins the Kitchen Collective of the Fogo Island Inn for the last days of berry season—just in time for Halloween. Together, they’ll uncover the magic of the juniper berry—the quintessential botanical ingredient in gin—along with other wild berries and plants indigenous to Fogo Island. Craig Grozier is founder of Fallachan, a Scottish culinary company offering bespoke dining experiences, which recently included a partnership with Bruichladdich and the Botanist Gin on the Isle of Islay. He is continually honing his skills and knowledge by staging in Michelin-starred restaurants across the British Isles, such as L’Enclume, Hibiscus, Tom Aikens and The Ledbury. A Q+A session with Chef Grozier and our resident Chefs will explore the challenges and joys of cooking on an island. And in the spirit of the season, guests will partake in a chef walk to a traditional root cellar and fishing stage, as well as a supernatural storytelling session with a community host.
