Curling

The RE/Max Centre (St. John's Curling Club) and the Bally Haly Golf and Curling Club have 10 sheets of ice between them. The St. John's Curling Club is home of the 2001 World Junior Champions and the 2006 Winter Olympic Golf Medalist Brad Gushue team.

King George V Park can operate eight months of the year, has lighting for night contests and can accommodate up to 6,400 spectators.

Mile One Centre is a state-of-the-art facility boasting bowl seating in the galleries for 6,000 and 1,900 on the arena floor. Host to local and international sporting events, concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions and trade shows. The 2,200 seat Molson Canadian Theatre, an intimate configuration ideally suited for a speaker's address, plenary session, concert or theatrical event. Pearlgate Track & Field Complex

Pearlgate Track and Field Complex was constructed in 1988 for the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games. It combines the best features for recreation, training, competition, and community events. These features include: an eight lane, 400 meter polyurethane surface, concrete throwing circles, polyurethane areas and runways for high jump, long jump, pole vault and javelin. The two story adjacent multi-purpose building includes washrooms and shower facilities, first aid room and storage room. Upstairs the multi-purpose room can accommodate up to 100 and is available for private rentals, workshops, receptions, etc. It has washrooms and kitchen facilities and a large patio overlooking the track and field.

Softball Facilities

Newfoundland and Labrador has a rich history when it comes to softball. Within the cities of St. John's and Mount Pearl there are over 30 softball diamonds including six lit fields. The Caribou Complex, sit eofthe 1994 Women's World Championships and numerous National championships has two lit diamonds side by side and can accommodate both slo-pitch and fast pitch competitions.

The Glacier

The Glacier, built in 1993, is a three level multi-purpose complex and includes a 85' x 200' ice/floor surface, six dressing rooms, pro-shop, first-aid room, referees room, board room, meeting room, snack shop, Crystal Ice viewing room, cafeteria with full kitchen service and standing room viewing , lounge with standing room viewing, twelve viewing booths, a 1,004 fixed seat gallery capacity and a concert capacity of 4,000. The Glacier is the proud home of many community events including daily recreation skating, sports competitions such as figure skating , ice hockey, and gymnastics; trade shows and exhibitions and family, youth and adult special events and concerts.

The Works, Memorial University

The Works consists of the Aquarena swimming facility that was constructed for the 1977 Canada Games, a newly constructed Field House which is home to Memorial University's varsity sports and MUN recreation facilities. These world-class venues offer a variety of aquatic, fitness, and recreation programs and services for all ages.

At The View we offer more than just a meeting place, there are plenty of activities to do here as well. Of course we offer a challenging 9-hole golf course, but there are also great trails for hiking, biking, quadding, and snowmobiling. We can also arrange geocaching, site-seeing, or boat tours. With the beautiful views, and many activities we are not responsible for lack of attention or daydreaming.
