The Downtown Development Commission (DDC) manages the Business Improvement Area or (BIA) in the Downtown Commercial Core. The mandate of the DDC is to make Downtown a more attractive place to live, shop, work and visit while preserving and enhancing Downtown as the dominant commercial center of St. John’s. We strive to recognize the important balance between retail/office and commercial/residential components of this sector and work to preserve the historic and traditional character of Downtown.
