‘Bogs & Barrens’ hosted by Quidi Vidi Brewing Company


 

 

Bog and Barrens is a new project from Quidi Vidi Brewery.

The focus it to collaborate with passionate and creative Newfoundlanders to create something that could only be done in our home. This time around we’re working with Jeremy Charles and Jeremy Bonia of Raymonds/Merchant Tavern.

We foraged ingredients from around Newfoundland and Labrador to make 3 unique beers. At the end of November, we’ll be hosting a beer pairing dinner at Raymond’s and Merchant Tavern which pair these beers with wild game from the same landscape. The beer styles are:

  • Imperial Bake Apple Gose: uses sea salt from Bonavista Bay and bakeapples from Labrador. It will be a limited release and only available in 473ml cans and at the dinners for a short time.
  • Pineapple Weed NE IPA: is super limited and only available at the dinners.
  • Smoked Alderberry Porter: is super limited and only available at the dinners.

We had an amazing time picking the ingredients, brewing the beers and now there’s just one step left.


Raymonds – November 27th 6:30 pm

Be the first to taste these new beers along side a 5 coarse meal at Raymond’s. This exclusive dinner has only 60 seats. Tickets are $125 each.

Merchant Tavern – November 28th-30th

Merchant will be offering a special tasting menu to pair with these beers from November 28-30th or until the kegs run out. There are no tickets but tables will book up fast
