On Tuesday, June 25th, Tuckamore Festival’s resident music theorist, Joe Argentino, will present our first Tuckamore Talk of the season. This talk will be focussed on an important work written in the aftermath of World War II.
Through the ages, war has made its mark on music in many ways: from patriotic battle hymns to darker depictions of the horrific experiences of humans at war. Join Dr. Joe Argentino as he explores war and music, focusing specifically on Arnold Schoenberg’s holocaust cantata A Survivor From Warsaw.
A free evening of music education and entertainment from one of Canada’s most sought-after speakers in music theory. Refreshments to follow.
