Let’s talk about that view! Being nestled in the heart of downtown St. John’s certainly has its advantages. At The Little Sparo (located in Doubletree by Hilton St. John’s Harbourview), you get to enjoy your meal with absolutely breathtaking views of the Narrows.

And, if your little one is anything like mine, they’ll enjoy watching cars go up and down Hill O’ Chips in between bites.

For those who love a classic brunch, “The Little Sparo” is the way to go. With two local eggs served your way, bacon, sausage, crispy potatoes (topped with pecorino, sour cream, and chives), and your choice of house made sourdough bread or an english muffin, we bet this meal will head straight to the top of your go-to downtown brunch list.

A classic caesar pairs perfectly with a good, hearty brunch and the caesar at Little Sparo, with a lime wedge and tangy pickled green bean, does not disappoint.

Anita’s Mushroom Tartine was an absolute delight. With a heaping serving of lou’s greens, mushrooms, ricotta, and radishes on housemade sourdough, topped with a perfectly cooked soft poached egg, this is sure to hit the spot. Of course, it’s served alongside a generous portion of their satisfying and delicious crispy potatoes.

Thankfully, your kids will probably be so busy enjoying their little meals (along with a fancy Shirley Temple, if they’re lucky), that you’ll actually have time to sit down and enjoy yours as well!

Did you know Little Sparo has a kids breakfast menu? With sweet and savoury options, there’s sure to be something your child will enjoy. For those with a sweet tooth (and, let’s be real, most kids do!), the Cinnamon French Toast with Callebaut chocolate and hazelnut crumble looks amazing.

We chose to go with the Lil Scramble and Sausage and I think the look on my little one’s face says it all. For those with babies and toddlers, high chairs are available! Throughout the meal, we switched between the comfy bench seating and a high chair for our little one.

After brunch adventures anyone? One of the best things about Little Sparo is its prime location. After your meal, if you’re not too full, we suggest heading outside to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. The gorgeous Harbourside Park is just a stone’s throw away!

Like the great Italian cooks, the folks at Little Sparo believe that enjoying a meal is one of the most simple of human pleasures, and they want to keep it that way. So, take the kids, head down, and enjoy a delicious mealjust the way food was meant to be.
