NL Sketch Fest

Newfoundland and Labrador is a province that has a deep, long-standing history of comedy. From This Hour has 22 Minutes, CODCO, Rising Tides Revue, well known comedic musical groups such as Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers, and Wonderful Grand Band, to groups performing at Sketch Festivals all across North America, it’s no secret that the province continues to produce comedic creators, writers, and performers who leave their mark on a national level.

One of our goals is to embrace that rich history of comedy in Newfoundland and Labrador, and to create the province’s first Sketch Comedy Festival! Like other well known Sketch Comedy Festivals, such as Toronto Sketch Festival and Montreal Sketch Festival, this festival aims to create a space for the comedy community in NL to grow, learn, and share ideas.

Leading up to the festival we will be supporting local artists and showing the history of sketch in Newfoundland that made doing this possible!
