Ochre Fest is back again and brimming with talent this July as it marks its 11th fabulous festival of books, art, wine, and song!

All events on July 7, 8 and 9 will be held at the beautiful Ochre House Retreat in Ochre Pit Cove, NL.

Friday, July 7

The festival kicks off with a Happy Hour featuring Peter Wilkins discussing his new book over cocktails provided by the Newfoundland Distillery Co. facebook.com/events

Later on Friday evening, we’ll hear three stellar authors—Violet Browne, Holly Hogan, and Michelle Porter, —read from recent works. The evening wraps up with a lively performance by Sherry Ryan, whose new album, Shout for More, will certainly have us doing just that! facebook.com/events

Saturday, July 8

In the afternoon, Sommelier Lynne Henley of TastingsNL will delight palates with a wine tasting event. facebook.com/events

Saturday evening offers an abundance of Newfoundland and Labrador talent with acclaimed authors Bridget Canning, Shelly Kawaja, and William Ping. These three will read from their latest works followed by the musical star power of the hilarious and wildly talented Janet Cull and Natalie Noseworthy of the comedy band BOX. facebook.com/events

Sunday, July 9

Features the distinct voices of Maggie Burton, Diane Carley, and Leah Lewis, who will read from their multi-genre works and have a lively discussion about “form” facilitated by Robert Chafe.

ACCESS NOTES

Ochre House Retreat’s entrance has a new ADA compliant wheelchair ramp. There are grab bars in all the bathrooms.
