Soundbone Folksong Choir — Free Open Rehearsal

Soundbone Folksong Choir is a non-auditioned choral group for adults who share a love of the traditional and contemporary folk songs of Newfoundland and Labrador.

• The SFC is directed by traditional musician/music educator Jean Hewson with the help of Assistant Director, singer Maddy Mouland.
• The choir meets on Thursday nights at St. David’s Presbyterian Church (98 Elizabeth Avenue) and offers two ten-week programs a year.
• Rehearsals are fun and informal and cover multiple topics including the stylistic elements of traditional singing, storytelling, repertoire and harmony.
• Adult singers of all abilities and musical backgrounds are welcome.

The first gathering of the choir’s fall session will take place on Thursday September 28th starting at 7:30P.M. This is an open rehearsal, free of charge. Come join us, bring a friend and consider signing up for the term!
